STUDIOLO, founded by Rui Filipe Pinto, is an architecture practice distinguished by its thoughtful exploration of the intersections between nature, context, and the historical trajectories of art and architecture. The studio’s work, spanning a wide range of scales from nuanced renovations to complex urban interventions, reflects a commitment to creating architecture that is deeply attuned to both its physical and cultural surroundings. Operating between Switzerland and Portugal, STUDIOLO collaborates with a diverse spectrum of private and institutional clients, while actively participating in competitive architectural competitions.
Rui Filipe Pinto’s academic engagements are integral to his practice, contributing to a dynamic exchange between theoretical inquiry and architectural production. He taught at EPF Lausanne from 2015 to 2020, and is currently teaching at ETH Zürich, together with Professor Maria Conen. In 2023, he was invited as a guest professor at La Salle in Barcelona, and now serves as a guest assistant professor at the Department of Architecture at FCTUC in Coimbra. His contributions to architectural education also include a long-standing affiliation with the Porto Academy, where he was a regular teaching assistant from 2016 to 2022.
